My greatest passions include art and diving. My love for the underwater world, but also my concern for its fragility, is reflected in my art. I like diving deep. I also explore boundaries in art. Delicate, filigree porcelain objects are just as much a part of me as heavy lava-black Raku pieces. Transience is a common theme everywhere. Behind the hand-flattering flawlessness lies a bony skeleton. As in an underwater reef, coral-pale frailty lives right next to anemone-like grace. Both have their own aesthetics.
